Terms of Use
The ground rules
In effect from 16 October 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and O.C.P.D PROPERTIES LTD about using Secret Moon VPN and the servers that make it work.
What we promise you
- We won’t record the sites you visit, your DNS lookups or the contents of your traffic.
- We’ll be open about the data we do keep, in our Privacy Policy.
- A real person will read and answer your e-mails.
What you promise us
- You’ll use Secret Moon VPN lawfully.
- You won’t use it to harm other people or the service itself.
- You’ll keep these rules in mind even when nobody is watching.
1. Saying yes to these terms
By installing or using Secret Moon VPN you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the app. The app itself is also covered by our End User License Agreement, and the Privacy Policy explains what happens to data. If these terms and the licence agreement ever disagree about the app, the licence agreement wins.
2. What Secret Moon VPN is
Secret Moon VPN is an app for iPhone and iPad together with the network of VPN servers it connects to. When the tunnel is on, your traffic is encrypted between your device and our server, which then carries it to the internet. Right now the app is free and sells nothing. Should we ever offer paid options, they will be sold only through the App Store: you will see the price and the conditions before you buy, Apple will take the payment, and you will manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
3. What you need
You need a compatible iPhone or iPad and an internet connection. Any data charges from your mobile carrier or internet provider are yours to pay.
4. Fair use
Please don’t use Secret Moon VPN to:
- break the law of the country you are in or the country of the server you use;
- attack, scan or break into other people’s systems, send spam, or spread malware;
- create, store or share child sexual abuse material, or anything else that exploits people;
- infringe anyone’s copyright, trademarks or other rights;
- overload our servers, get around technical limits, or test the service’s security without our written permission;
- resell the service or offer it to others as if it were your own.
5. What we may do to protect the service
If a device is used against these rules, or if we need to for security reasons, we may limit, suspend or end its access. Because we don’t know who you are, we act on the device, not on a person. We may also add, move or retire servers and locations. Where it is reasonable and safe, we will warn you before something significant changes.
6. No promise of perfection
We work to keep Secret Moon VPN fast and available, but we can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors: networks fail, servers need maintenance, and some websites and services refuse VPN connections. A VPN hides your traffic from the network you are on and your address from the sites you visit; it does not hide you from the accounts you sign in to or the information you give away yourself.
7. Your part
Rules on using VPNs differ between countries. You are responsible for checking that you may use one where you are, and for what you do while connected.
8. Ownership
The app, the Secret Moon name, the moon character, the artwork and the design belong to us or to those who license them to us. These terms don’t transfer any of those rights to you. Open-source parts of the app stay under their own licences.
9. Disclaimers
As far as the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without promises beyond the ones written in these terms. Nothing here takes away rights that consumer law gives you and does not allow anyone to remove.
10. Limits on our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim. These limits don’t apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or to anything else the law does not let us limit.
11. Ending this agreement
You can stop at any time: disconnect and delete the app. We may stop providing the service, or stop providing it to a particular device under section 5. Sections 8 to 10 and 13 continue to apply after the agreement ends.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app and the law change. The new version will appear here with a new date. If a change matters, we will mention it in the app or on this site before it takes effect. Using Secret Moon VPN after that means you accept the new version.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the place where O.C.P.D PROPERTIES LTD is incorporated. If you use the app as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts. Before going to court, please write to us: most problems are solved by e-mail.
